The packaging was kind if a disaster. But the pedal itself is super solid so it's ok.
“And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light.” This thing is amazing. I cannot believe someone hadn’t made it before. It’s so intuitive and needs absolutely no instruction. Whether you need a light to illuminate your boss metal zone in your crappy garage band, or need a light to watch yourself eat Cheetos on the couch while you’re slamming Bang energy drinks after a 12 hour shift at the local factory, this is your guy. You can easily charge any USB device and you could even charge 2 at a time and opt out of using the light. Seriously though, I would recommend this to anyone. It is such a versatile pedal and it’s a steal.
The Bright Switch worked as described, but I had several issues which I could not overcome. The first was the real estate issue. Bright Switch does take up a bit of room. The second was powering. My pedalboard power brick could not supply enough power to power or charge my iPad, which was the reason for my purchase to begin with. The third issue was the light. It was just in the way. And, the last issue was the price. I ended up getting a pass-through USB module, powering it with my power brick, and multi-color LED strip lights, which provide lots of light, and are more fun. The cost ended up being about the same as The Bright Switch, but better suited my purpose. Final analysis: The Bright Switch is a great idea, just not for me.
I can see! Problem solved and I get to charge my phone while I play. This thing is simple but it is great!
I love the small footprint of this pedal. Takes up very little space on my pedalboard but gives me everything I want out of it. A great addition, especially if you play in dark spaces. BONUS, you can charge your phone or tablet too!
